By using our website or enrolling in a programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or enrol in any programme.

Our programmes are intended for individuals aged 18 and over who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Mountain Mist offers educational programmes designed to help adults in midlife and beyond understand their personal finances more clearly. Our three programmes are:

Programmes are delivered in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and are offered in English. We reserve the right to adjust session formats, timing, and group sizes at our discretion, and will communicate any material changes to enrolled participants in advance.

4. Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Mountain Mist. Places are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting an enquiry through our contact form does not constitute enrolment.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide at enrolment is accurate and up to date. If any of your details change after enrolment, please inform us promptly.

5. Participant Conduct

We ask that all participants approach our sessions with openness and respect for others in the group. The following are not permitted during any programme:

We reserve the right to ask a participant to withdraw from a programme if their conduct is considered, at our discretion, to be disruptive or harmful to others.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and all materials provided as part of our programmes — including guides, worksheets, planning folders, and recorded lessons — remain the intellectual property of Mountain Mist. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to reproduce, distribute, or adapt our content for any purpose other than your own personal study.

You may make notes and personal summaries for your own use. You may not reproduce, copy, or share programme materials in whole or in part without our written consent.

7. Fees and Refunds

Payment

Programme fees are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are due in full prior to the first session, unless we have agreed a different arrangement with you in writing. We will confirm accepted payment methods at the time of enrolment.

Cancellation by Mountain Mist

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a programme due to insufficient enrolments, facilitator availability, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, enrolled participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to the next available intake.

Our programmes are educational in nature and are intended to help you build a clearer understanding of personal finance concepts relevant to life in Thailand. They are not a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice.

Nothing shared in our programmes constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product. We strongly encourage participants to consult a licensed financial adviser before making significant financial decisions. Mountain Mist does not hold a financial advisory licence and does not provide regulated financial services.

Our website and programme materials are provided in good faith and as accurately as we are able. We do not make any representation that the content will always be complete, current, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Thai law, Mountain Mist's liability to you in connection with any programme or use of our website is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant programme.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your participation in a programme or your use of this website, including but not limited to financial losses arising from decisions you make in connection with programme content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Termination

You may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the refund terms in Section 7. We may ask you to withdraw from a programme at our discretion, for example if you breach Section 5 of these Terms. In such a case, no refund will be issued.

We may also suspend or close access to our website at any time without notice.

11. Dispute Resolution

We hope that any concern can be resolved quietly and directly. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at [email protected] and we will do our best to find a fair resolution within 14 days.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. For participants already enrolled in a programme, changes will not affect the terms that applied at the time of your enrolment. For new enrolments, the Terms in effect at the time of confirmation will apply.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our website after any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
